This recipe is good to eat with Green Papaya or Long Bean Salads. On a plate, layer rice, then salad with meat on top, or the meat and salads can be eaten separately. Also the marinated beef can be used in a stir-fry with vegetables.
1 pound beef, sliced thin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
sesame oil (optional for frying)
Thinly slice beef. Sprinkle salt, sugar and pepper over meat and let sit for 1/2 hour or up to one day. To cook meat, either fry in sesame oil, broil or grill. When frying or broiling beef, use a high temperature and leave the inside pinkórare to medium rare. To grill, simply put pieces on skewers and turn meat until preferred doneness.
